Our client is a ‘global contract manufacturing partner’ that designs and delivers high level capital equipment to OEM leaders and users of advanced production lines worldwide. Their aim is to exceed customer expectations in especially the area of mechatronic modules.
The services of our client exist of engineering & development, prototyping, tailor made industrial mechanization and batch manufacturing of products which have high complexity and relatively small amounts. They work out of 6 manufacturing locations in Europe and Asia. Currently they are expanding their engineering & development services and are in need for a Senior Designer Electronics. This is a permanent position, based in Eindhoven (NL), with excellent opportunities for entrepreneurial and driven professionals who are able to take the lead.

As Senior Designer / Engineer Mechanical you play a critical role in the activities that contribute to future growth and developments of the Engineering business through your strong participation in development and engineering projects for international OEM customers. It concerns a senior position in which you have a lot of internal and external contacts (initiating and managing third parties). You are able to drive mechanical engineering (staying in touch with latest developments) and cooperate with / involve other areas. The company is internationally active, their engineering & development activities are growing, offering you a lot of room for personal and professional growth.
Your responsibilities
• Specification of mechanical modules and systems and support the alternative consideration between mechanical, electronic and software competencies.
• Design and detail mechanical components and (sub) systems
• Specify and outsource of specific D&E activities to external engineering agencies
• Document analyzing results, specifications, concepts and designs
• liaise the (concept) development with the customer and / or the internal system engineer(s)

To be successful in this position, you have:
- An Academic education in Mechanical Engineering
- Proven specialized knowledge on one or more mechanical engineering domains like design principles, (FEM) modeling, DfX (cost-of ownership, six sigma, etc.)
- You are familiar with modern design techniques in relation to mechanical engineering
- 5 years or more working experience at OEMs in the high-tech capital equipment industry and / or production mechanization
- You are goal oriented, have a can do attitude, are creative and above all an excellent communicator and team player
