The services of our client exist of engineering & development, prototyping, tailor made industrial mechanization and batch manufacturing of products which have high complexity and relatively small amounts. They work out of 6 manufacturing locations in Europe and Asia. Currently they are expanding their engineering & development services and are in need for a Senior Designer Embedded Software. As Senior Designer / Engineer Electronics you play a critical role in the activities that contribute to future growth and developments of the Engineering business through your strong participation in development and engineering projects for international OEM customers. It concerns a senior position in which you have a lot of internal and external contacts (initiating and managing third parties). You are able to drive software engineering (staying in touch with latest developments) and cooperate with / involve other areas. The company is internationally active, their engineering & development activities are growing, offering you a lot of room for personal and professional growth.
Your responsibilities
• The design of software component and drivers for high end mechatronic modules.
• Developing, or leading architectonic concepts and designs and specifying software modules.
• Support in the consideration between mechanical, electronic and software competencies.
• Lead the Software Designers and Software Engineers in multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong knowledge owner of actual embedded software methods, techniques and platforms, complex control systems, software development, etc.
• Specifying and outsourcing specific engineering & development activities to engineering suppliers.
• Decision support concerning the software supply chain.
• Document specifications, concepts, designs and tests.
In this position you report to the Engineering Manager. If successful, this position might offer you excellent grow opportunities towards possible future position of Group Leader.

To be successful in this position, you have:
• An Academic education in Software or Electronic Engineering.
• 5 to 10 years experience in designing software control systems and components for high end equipment and/or products in multidisciplinary development teams.
• Good communication skills and able to communicate both in English and Dutch.
• Driven and pro-active attitude and entrepreneurial behavior.
• Furthermore you are a team player, strong analytical, pragmatic and creative.
